Let us know what you think to this new style of levelling in the thread below!!
I like this new leveling system. I really enjoy playing through the different zones with my alts (and I have rather a lot of alts), and one of the things I found frustrating was that I was always out-leveling zones to the point where they weren't really fun to play. I'd end up skipping Vellosk (no big loss there) and often Mount Hotenow (which is too bad, as I like that one. Especially with VIP so I'm not stuck running through the whole length of the zone to get to the front entrance. I can just make a travel signpost from wherever I am.) Combining the adventure zones with things like running dungeons, events, doing stronghold HEs and quests, etc., the "race" to 80 (or 70 or 60 - I've been doing this for a while) never ever felt like a slog to me. But I know a lot of folks really only care about getting to "endgame." That's never appealed to me. My only regret with this model - and it's huge - is the loss of so much quality content. There were a LOT of fun quests, interesting locations, cool storylines, etc. in those zones. That's all being lost - or "vaulted", as they call it. They've vaulted other stuff in the past never to be seen again, so I don't have much confidence that the two aren't synonymous.
